Join us on August 25, 2020, beginning at the Freedoms Foundation, for the Centennial Commemoration of women’s suffrage! Events will be centered around the Justice Bell which signifies the passage of the 19th Amendment that granted women the right to vote in 1920. The festivities this day will kickoff in an exciting way as the nationally acclaimed female skydivers of “The Highlight Pro Team” perform a special jump at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge at approximately 2 p.m. The skydivers will be delivering a special champagne bottle to christen the Justice Bell’s journey from the Washington Memorial Chapel to Independence National Park in Philadelphia.
Following the jump, the all-female team will lead a caravan one mile down the road to the National Patriots Bell Tower at Washington Memorial Chapel. An old-fashioned suffrage program will then take place from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. with VIPs and music before the Justice Bell departs for its journey to Independence National Historic Park.
